Wild Ivy Herb Farm welcomes Liz Bonny!

Liz Bonny will teach us how to naturally dye fabric using plants found at Wild Ivy Herb Farm, and additional plants that you can grow and gather at home. Participants will receive instructions on preparing fabrics for natural dyeing, and use steam to print with plants directly on the fabric in this hands-on class. Join us as we explore the colorful gifts of Wild Ivy Herb Farm.

This class is open to all ages, with a maximum class size of 10 participants. Save the date for this extraordinary workshop with Liz Bonny as she teaches us about dying fabrics, using herbs as plant material. More details to come. Seats are limited so reserve now!

Presenter Bio:

Liz Bonny is a weaver, dyer, spinner, fiber processer, and hand sewer located in Lawrence, KS. She loves to experiment with and teach process, using local and thrifted materials. Liz is passionate about her fiber community, serving as the president of the Kaw Valley Fiber Guild, and outreach coordinator and past president of the Kaw Point Fibershed.

Directions: From K10, take the Iowa St./59 Highway exit and head south less than 5 miles. Take the 650 Road exit and turn east to 1450 Road. Go down the hill and look for the yellow house with green trim and hoophouses alongside. Please parallel park in front of the house and proceed ibnto the large hoophouse where the workshops will be held.
